Politique d'usage acceptable

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you upload to I HATE EDITING, everything you produce with it, and how you use the Service itself.

The short version: use material you have the right to use, and do not use this tool to do something to a third-party platform that that platform forbids.

1. Rights in the material you supply

You must not upload, import or otherwise introduce material that:

• you do not own and are not licensed to use in the way you intend to use it;
• you obtained from a third-party platform in breach of that platform’s terms of service;
• is licensed only on terms you are not meeting — for example a licence requiring attribution, or one that excludes commercial or derivative use;
• infringes any copyright, trade mark, database right, design right, moral right or trade secret.

A source being publicly accessible does not make it free to reuse. “Available online” and “licensed to you” are different things, and the second is the one that matters.

2. No evasion of other platforms

You must not use the Service, or ask us to build anything into it, in order to:

• disguise the origin of automated requests — for example by rotating residential proxies, or by spreading traffic across accounts created to avoid being identified;
• create, buy or share accounts in order to evade a platform’s suspension, ban or other enforcement action;
• defeat digital rights management, or get past a paywall or purchase requirement, to obtain material you would otherwise have to pay or be licensed for;
• scrape or harvest a service at a scale, or in a manner, that its terms forbid.

This applies to us as well as to you. We hold ourselves to it in how the Service sources media: we operate no proxy pool, we hold no accounts on other platforms for the purpose of retrieving material, and we run no crawler.

3. Synthetic media and real people

You must not use the Service to:

• create synthetic or manipulated depictions of a real, identifiable person — their face, body or voice — without their explicit consent;
• impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or falsely suggest endorsement or affiliation;
• produce sexual content depicting a real person without consent, or any sexual content involving minors;
• fabricate a statement, event or record and present it as genuine.

4. Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to produce or distribute material that:

• sexually exploits or endangers a minor, in any form, whether real or synthetic;
• incites, promotes or provides instruction for violence, terrorism or serious criminal activity;
• harasses, threatens, bullies or targets an individual, or promotes hatred against people on the basis of a protected characteristic;
• promotes self-harm, suicide or disordered eating;
• spreads deceptive claims about elections, public health or safety where doing so is likely to cause real-world harm;
• constitutes fraud, a scam, a deceptive financial promotion, or malware.

5. Misuse of the Service

You must not:

• probe, scan, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or any account, project or file that is not yours;
• reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
• resell, sublicense or provide access to the Service as though it were your own;
• automate access in a way that degrades the Service for others, or evade credit limits, quotas or billing;
• create accounts to circumvent a suspension.

6. Reporting a violation

If you believe content produced with the Service infringes your rights or breaches this policy, tell us through our contact page. Say what the material is, where it appears, and what right you hold or which part of this policy is engaged. We investigate every substantiated report.

7. Enforcement

Where we find a breach we may remove material, restrict a feature, suspend or terminate the account, and where the law requires it, report the matter to the relevant authority. We aim to match the response to the seriousness of the breach and, where it is reasonable, to tell you what was wrong and let you correct it — but conduct that puts others at risk, or that exposes us to legal liability, may be actioned immediately.

Suspension for a breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund of credits already consumed.
